As Managing Director at Highfields, Joyce keeps everything running smoothly—overseeing strategies, financials and managing the tech that powers the business. With a keen eye for detail and a love of problem-solving, she’s the one making sure the behind-the-scenes magic happens.

When she’s not at work, Joyce is likely exploring new restaurants and cocktails or travelling to new places for new experiences. But her proudest new title? Babi—a first-time grandma to little Fischer, who already knows she’s the fun one.

Carrot cake. It’s sweet, a little spicy, full of flavor—and hey, it’s kind of healthy too!

Get yourself a cute pair of white sneakers. You’ll thank me when you're still dancing at the end of the reception.

If you could have any celebrity to a Highfields wedding, who would it be?

@chefsymon Michael Symon, hands down. He’s a Cleveland guy who made it big, but still cooks with heart. I’d love for him to cater anything.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

As Director of Operations Ken channels his love of the land into making sure the grounds are ready for every wedding, overseeing the maintenance staff, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Raised on his family’s LynMar Horse Farm, now the very land where Highfields stands, he’s often called a real-life Lorax. Ken lives by his personal motto: “I love life. Each day is just one more chance to appreciate nature.” Whether he’s tending to the land or ensuring every detail is perfect, Ken brings his energy, care, and love of the outdoors to everything he does at Highfields.

A strong home brew—paired with an extra-large icy water that’s always riding shotgun in his Kubota while he’s working on the grounds.

Take a couple minutes throughout the day and evening just taking it all in and cherishing the memories you’re making.

As Director of Sales and Events, Angela is the guiding hand for couples from the very first tour to the final walkthrough. She prepares quotes, keeps our venue managers’ schedules organized, and ensures every detail is just right through training and quality control. Known for her calm, can-do attitude, Angela is always ready to jump in—whether it’s answering last-minute questions, perfecting a table setup, or finding solutions on the fly. Her dedication makes every event feel seamless, and her friendly support helps clients feel at ease every step of the way.

During your Ceremony and while your dance floor is bumping, make sure to take two steps back and watch all of your guests enjoying the amazing night you planned!

Our top tier was Banana flavored. I was so shocked a year later it was still really good!

As Director of Client Services, Theresa keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. She manages all venue orders—including special liquors and signature drinks—while also handling contracts, invoicing, and marketing materials with care. Always helpful and approachable, Theresa goes above and beyond for our clients, whether that means working late, jumping in early, or lending a hand on the weekend. Even while working remotely from South Carolina, she’s a vital part of our team, bringing warmth, reliability, and a smile to every interaction.

One piece of wedding-day advice you give to every couple?

Don't forget that the main point of the day is to get married! Not everything will go as planned at some point during the day, but at the end of it all, you get to marry your best friend!

What would your dream wedding entrance song be?

The same one that was my entrance song in 2016 - Let Me Clear My Throat by DJ Kool.  I'm a 90s kid! 

What are a few things you love to do in your spare time?

Along with working for Highfields, I also teach elementary Physical Education part-time and I teach fitness classes at Pure Barre. Any extra time I have after that is spent running my kids to multiple activities, attending a bible study, golfing, or watching football!

BAR SERVICES OPERATIONS

As Director of Bar Services, Kevin makes sure our bartending team has everything they need—stocking the right garnishes, mixers, and supplies so everyone can enjoy all those themed signature drinks. When he’s not behind the scenes at Highfields, he’s busy catering events here at Highfields or around town and running Hudson’s, the Main St. restaurant he’s co-owned with his brother since 2006.”

Don’t forget to eat! He’s seen plenty of couples so swept up in the excitement that they miss out on the menu they carefully chose.

Kevin’s secret wedding-day power? Perfect timing. He makes sure dinner service flows seamlessly around toasts, dances, and speeches—so guests never feel rushed, plates arrive hot, and the couple can stay in the moment without worrying about what’s happening behind the scenes.

VENUE MANAGER

When Rosanne isn’t busy managing the venue during wedding season, she treasures time with her grandson and loves cooking and baking meals to share with family, friends, and neighbors. At home, she enjoys the company of her dog, Thurman, and looks forward to sleepovers with her grand-dog, Homer. A proud Hudson resident for many years, Rosanne and her family have deep roots in the community—made even more meaningful when her daughter was married at Highfields in 2021.

VENUE MANAGER

When Ashley isn’t busy managing the venue during wedding season, she loves spending her free time reading or hiking local trails—especially when the fall colors are at their peak. Married to her high school sweetheart for 13 years, Ashley treasures family life. She and her husband are surrounded by their immediate family and together enjoy being “Aunt and Uncle” to seven nieces and nephews ranging in age from 2 to 20. For Ashley, it’s a joy to watch them grow through all of life’s stages and to play such a special role in their lives.

Chocolate Raspberry - Unfortunately I did not get to eat any at my wedding (a groomsman snuck it!) but I do enjoy getting a slice every anniversary.

One piece of wedding-day advice you give to every couple?

Be present and trust your team (vendors, wedding party, family). The day will fly by. I want you to relax and enjoy all the moments with your partner.

If you could have any celebrity to a Highfields wedding, who would it be?

Whitney Houston. Her song "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" is played at every wedding, almost without fail. I would love to have her sing it live.

When Nichole isn’t busy managing the venue during wedding season, she enjoys crafting charcuterie boards and spending quality time with her husband of 12 years, their two daughters, and two grandchildren. She’s also the proud owner of Carlos, “the best” black lab and hound mix from Mexico, and they love going on long walks together.

Nichole picked Robin Williams. I picture him making everyone laugh during the vows, maybe doing an impromptu toast, and turning the dance floor into a full-on comedy show.
